Class #1: Introduction to Specialty Coffee

Learn the keys to successful coffee brewing using a wide variety of brewing methods from commercial espresso machine to syphon pot. 

We’ll talk about how coffee is made and where it comes from - and how both of these things will ultimately affect how your morning brew will taste. We will explore the different brewing methods available - and the differences between them. We’ll cover coffee extraction and variables associated - including grind, temperature, time and agitation.

We’ll then taste a single coffee brewed 3 to 6 different ways, each producing a unique taste. 

This class runs for 2.5 hours, and includes copious amounts of coffee! This class is capped at 5 participants.

Cost: $100 per participant.


Class #2: Brewing Better Filter Coffee

We’ll show you the basics of brewing Aeropress, pour over & syphon pot coffee, so you can take your home brewing experience to a new level.

We’ll talk about how coffee is made and where it comes from - and how both of these things will ultimately affect how your morning brew will taste. We will explore the different brewing methods available - and the differences between them. We’ll cover coffee extraction and variables associated - including grind, temperature, time and agitation.

We’ll show you how we brew coffee in our cafe using filter methods and what beans we enjoy using for filter coffees!

This class runs for 2 hours, and includes copious amounts of coffee! This class is capped at 5 participants.

Class #3: Brewing Better Espresso Coffee

Our Brewing Better Espresso class explores the essentials of espresso brewing, applicable to both commercial and home espresso machines. We’ll show you how to make specialty standard espresso-based drinks using our inhouse La Marzocca machine.

We’ll talk about how coffee is made and where it comes from - and how both of these things will ultimately affect how your morning brew will taste. We will explore the different brewing methods available - and the differences between them. We’ll cover coffee extraction and variables associated - including grind, temperature, time and agitation.

We'll cover the scientific theory behind milk steaming and texture - including latte art demonstrations and tips!

This class runs for 2 hours, and includes copious amounts of coffee! This class is capped at 5 participants.
